Microsoft Outlook – Please fix it, Microsoft

Microsoft Outlook is probably the most widely-used email client within business.

Microsoft have confirmed they plan on using the Word rendering engine to display HTML emails in Outlook 2010.

This means for the next 5 years your email designs will need tables for layout, have no support for CSS like float and position, no background images and lots more.

There are many people who don’t believe in HTML emails, anyway but, personally, I believe that they are an extremely useful marketing tool. Of course, I don’t believe in spamming, but if I have registered and agreed to receive an email from someone, I’d like it to at least look nice.

If you’re of the same opinion, please visit here and lobby Microsoft for action >>
